I swear if there is one brand that makes me want to try everything is — Charlotte Tilbury.
There is definitely something utterly mesmerizing about her brand and her products and her packaging that you can’t resist. And to top things off everything that I have tried from CT has never disappointed me. So you can very well understand my love for it. And recently when I got the chance to try one of her Quick ‘N’ Easy Look sets I snagged the opportunity, and hello, you would too.
Charlotte Tilbury Red Carpet Party Look Kit* comes with four products in a cool see through plastic bag. There are three full sized products (lipstick, lipliner and kohl pencil) and a mini sample.
Red Carpet Red Lipstick ($32): It is a true classic red lipstick in a satin-matt finish. Which is super comfortable on the lips, easy application, opaque and well pigmented. I have loved the matt revolution formula by CT, and bond girl is my one ultimate lipstick shade and formula that I can’t do without, when it comes to my makeup lipstick collection. And red carpet red is the perfect red shade if you are looking for a festive yet elegant lip-color.
Lip Cheat Lip-liner In Kiss N Tell ($22) – One thing that Charlotte Tilbury does extremely well is her lip liners. I have never been a lip liner kind of a girl, until I tried her cult classic Pillow talk. And now I know the reason why there is much hype around that product. Unlike a lot of other lip-liners this is not the creamiest of the lot, but definitely isn’t drying or the tugging kinds either. It is some where in middle with just the right consistency, for an opaque and an overall even look. And this shade is again a true classic red.
Rock N Kohl In Barbella Brown ($27)- It is a beautiful chocolate brown eyeliner, that goes on smoothly and is easy to blend for a smokier look. But once it sets it won’t budge or move. Yes I did see a little fading through out the day, which is normal. But overall it is a nice kohl pencil.
Wonder-glow ($55): The oh-so-famous wonder glow. I have always read some great reviews about this product and some with a completely opposite opinion. So I really wanted to see what the fuss was all about. Now to start off it is a beautiful product if you are after that ethereal glow. And works wonderfully well underneath a foundation or mixed with it. But when I tried to use it on its own as a highlighter, it did give me a pretty glow but I could see the burst of tiny shimmer that gave the luminous lit. Which is perfect if you are going for a party look or an evening out, and not so suitable for a “day time natural look” but of-course, unless you want it to, then whatever floats your boat honey ;).
Over-all I’m quite pleased with the set and love the product selection. Now I’d love to know what are your absolute Charlotte Tilbury must-haves?
