Tom Ford Honeymoon Quad And Rose Crush Gloss || Swatches & Review

Tom Ford Haul

If there is something that makes me skip a beat about this brand is their luxe packaging.  (I know I’m so superficial).

Tom Ford Honeymoon palette ($82), is a wet/dry formula – a perfect warm tone palette for the season. Is described to be as “The centerpiece of the Tom Ford Color Collection. Each eye color quad is
designed with four opulent complementing shades that achieve multiple
looks, from a bold, smokey eye, to a sexy splash of color and everything

To be honest I was torn between Nude dip and honeymoon, and it was rather a tough call. But you have to go with what that season demands haha. Though I’m pretty sure I might end up getting Nude Dip and that will the sensation of another blogpost. But for today I’m admiring this stunning, silky, pigmented eyeshadow quad with warm toasty shades.

I remember swatching Nude Dip at Selfridges in London, I was instantly blowing away by the texture. It was nothing like anything I owned. It was buttery in true, true sense and SO pigment. And if you’d try to justify the price of this palette on the basis of color, then you probably should look somewhere else. Since I feel the colors are quite dupable, and not that unique. However, the quality and the texture of these eyeshadows are justifiable with the luxe packaging by someone who is a #makeupjunkie like me.

Honeymoon quad consists of four stunning nameless shades, which can be applied dry for a softer  finish and wet for a more intense chromatic look.

Honeymoon palette TF

Shade I  : Is a champagne-y rose gold copper with a frosted finish.

Shade II  : Is a darker copper bronzey shade with warm orange undertone.

Shade III : Is a beautiful cranberry with copper reddish undertone

Shade IV : Is a glowing aubergine

What I absolutely love about this palette apart from the gorgeous packaging are the colors they are so warm and autumn-y and can be worn down for a softer day time look or can amp up the night with the sultry smokey eye. The shadows are so buttery and saturated that you might dread a lot of fallout. But surprisingly the shadows are so well packed that there is barely any fall out. The colors blend in seemlessly because of there gorgeous texture and consistency. It’s definitely a fail proof eyeshadow quad, which will definitely not end up in the collectors item drawer. Ahh I love it!

What’s not so lovable about this quad? THE PRICE TAG. And those tiny eyeshadow brushes. They should probably send the original Tomford brush with the quad. Is that too much to ask for? Lol.

Tom Ford Rose Crush Lipgloss

And since the eye shadow palette took the limelight, lets quickly talk about the lipgloss in Rose Crush. To be honest, it’s a lip gloss there is no rocket science to it that makes it a must have product. If you love your brands and TF is up your ally, this is sweet item to add in your collection. But if not, it’s not worth the price. It’s your ususal thick, non sticky, semi pigmented, high shine gloss.

The one thing no actually two things that I love about this gloss is – Number one : the brush applicator, it makes the application so precise. Even though the good thing about lipgloss is that they are fuss free and you don’t have to worry about the application. But the fact that I can apply this in the lines just makes me happy for some odd reasons. And number two the color, its exactly like one of my beaten up, the most used and abused limited edition mac lipgloss which I couldn’t go without.

Overall, if you want TF then there is no arguing. But if you are looking for a good high end gloss, there are tones of other ones out there like Chanel Dior and many more that are not as crazily priced as this one. So the bottom line is buy whatever that makes you happy 😉
