It was the Eid weekend, and the eve of Eid night (known as ‘Chaand Raat’) was a bit depressing for us, since we are away from friends and family and nothing felt festive. But I thought instead of sulking into a sad mode, I picked up myself, cleaned up the house, switched on the twinkly lights, lit candles and made the traditional sweet dish Sivaiyen (I could have literally just ate this the entire weekend and be satisfied). And invited a few acquaintance to make it feel a bit more Eid like, never did I know it would turn into a fun night celebration.
I always start by concealing my eyes, thats the most important thing when it comes to dressing up the face, thanks to the crazy under-eye circles, and nothing does a better job than Maybelline age rewind concealer.
Once I have taken care of my eyes and made a panda face look human again, I quickly brushed my face with my favourite powder foundation i.e. Tarte Amazonian clay full coverage foundation. Used my favourite Mac Fix+ to make everything look glow-y and fresh.
Then on to adding a little color to the face, I swept By Terry Bronze moon all over the eye lid and on the lower lash line, blended it over the crease, and eyes all done, well not entirely, you know a little bit of lash drama is essential, so curled up those flutteries applied my favourite mascara Maybelline lash sensational and then finally eyes are all done.
For the lips I went with mac dervish lip liner topped it off with Charlotte Tilbury High society. And that was my quick 5 minutes out the door festive makeup look. With NO highlighter blush or bronzer.
P.S. This post was suppose go up on Friday and from ‘is’ to it became ‘was’ and now it totally feels like history haha, but still I thought I’d share my quick 5 mins festive look.
(This picture doesn’t do justice to the gorgeous eyeshadow, though)
