Make-Up Rotation| Monthly Hit’s & Misses

monthly favourite

For the hundredth time I might be admitting this that I’m a hoader when it comes to collecting beautiful stuff, make-up is no less when it comes to all the prettiness it comes attached with (be it the packaging, the gorgeous colors or that fact that how stunning it can make you look).

With that being out, it was about time I showed some love to the stuff that was being trashed in the corners and the deep drawers.

I thought of doing a monthly rotation of products instead of doing a-typical monthly favourites, and I’m quite proud to say that I have successfully managed to stroll through this month. So I thought I’d share with you the things I used and whether it was a hit or a miss.

Bourjois Health Mix Serum Foundation : I just love the smell of this foundation, it’s subtle but very fruity and nice which just disappears after a few minutes of application. I quite enjoy this foundation for it leaves behind a fine radiance, without looking oily or melted, a great light/medium coverage foundation for dry/combination skin, specially held up well for the winter season. Though I would say the lasting power isn’t exactly for that long as it claims.

Maybelline Color Tattoo In Barely Beige(limited edition) : This one was an impulsive buy after watching Ingrid’s video, but I never liked it for it wasn’t creamy and blendable enough. But the color is beautiful for an every day wash of color. I just wish the formula magically turns over and becomes some where near to that of the On-and-on-bronze color tattoo.

Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara : I have a whole blog post review on this mascara, but one thing that I noticed as I used it more, the formula dried up a bit to fast and I could be wrong but by the end of the day my eyes are super itchy.

Urban Decay Eyeliner In Whiskey : A great alternative, when you want to define your eyes yet don’t want the black dramatic effect of an eyeliner, this is the perfect shade.

Sonia Kaushik Blush In Sunset  : I have started to feel a bit springy from with-in, wish I could say this about the weather too, but this blush came back to existence. Such a beautiful perk-me-up color.

Dior Addict Fluid Stick In Kiss Me & Magique : Love to pair the blush with the Magique color, for a perfect spring look. It’s a gorgeous medium pinky-coral color, with even application and good lasting power for about 4-5 hours.

Where as Kiss-Me is a cool toned baby pink, which I hated the moment I applied it, but the cool thing about it is, that it warms up to your body temperature and turns into the most complimenting color for your skin.

And lastly I have only been using Sigma Flat Top Kabuki Brush for my foundation application when it comes to beauty tools. As it helps in building up coverage of a light/medium coverage foundation and gives a pretty flawless application.
