Everyday Winter Makeup Edit || #blogmas Day 7

Winter Makeup bag edit

When it comes to makeup I like to keep it really, really simple yet classic. I think that’s my overall take whenever do I my makeup be it any occasion. I like to give the illusion of well rested and“I  woke up like with perfect skin” vibe. Even though that might not be the case and I would have delayed everything in the being just to get that look.

And since it’s super cold and dry there are few extra things that I like to do to keep my skin well hydrated and radiant. To being with I rarely, I mean rarely wear any sort of base/foundation/tinted moisturizer or even primers for that matter. Instead what I like to do is start with a clean well moisturized face. For skincare I do go forward with double serum-ing if that’s even a thing. I have been patting a pump of Purlisse Blue lotus brightening serum* followed by a pump of Algenist Vitamin C serum*. And I have seen the combination of these two have been working extremely well for my skin at the moment. After that I moisturize my skin using Algenist genius face cream*. Once everything is absorbed into the skin I spritz my face with Rodial Hyaluronic face mist* (it’s one of the best face mists I have ever tried).

On the beauty bits here’s the few things that I use on a daily basis :

Winter Makeup bag essentials

L.A. Girl Orange Corrector : Now I may not have that many skin issues (touchwood) but the one thing that needs a lot of attention is my under eye area. So to correct the dark circle I dab a tiny dot of the orange concealer and pat it around the under-eye area, concentrating more on the inner corner of the eye.

Estee Lauder Waterproof Double wear concealer* : I probably might sound like a broken record here, but if you have seen any of my makeup of the day/what’s in my makeup bag/ Favorites post you might have seen this guys galavanting around those posts. And there is a reason to it, it’s that good. It stay put for the entire day without budging and when applied the consistence is perfect to work with.

Giorgio Armani Silk Compact* : I love using this to set my under-eye’s with ILIA brush, I feel it gives a little extra coverage and set’s the concealer beautifully without looking funky in photographs.

Loreal Telescopic Mascara : Love this mascara for some added lash definition. One thing that I absolutely love about this mascara is that it’s jet black, and doesn’t clump up the lashes.

Tom Ford Eye Defining Pen : This is a horrendously expensive eyeliner, but it’s worth every freaking penny. If you are an eyeliner gal, you need to try this. I haven’t read one bad review about this product. And there is a reason to the hype that surrounds it. If you want to read a detailed review on this click here. But eyeliner is an optional thing when it comes to every day makeup. Specially when I’m going out just to pick my daughter from school or for groceries.

Burberry Brow Pencil : Since I was out of my previous brow pencil/product I wanted to try something new. And after reading some good reviews about this one, I thought of giving it a go. I have to say I love this pencil specially when I’m in a rush. The flat nip end makes it easier to fill in the brows and I love how creamy it is, which makes it super easy to work with but once set it doesn’t move though-out the day.

Burberry Poppy/ Perricone MD No Blush Blush* : When it comes around winter time I love creams and liquid products. As I feel they look much more natural and kind of add the radiance to the skin. Burberry poppy is a long time favorite if you have been around this blog you already know it. And the new recent addition to my collection is Perricone MD no blush blush which is a stunning product.

Algenist Luminizing Drops In Champagne* : This is my every day highlight jam. I can’t do without it, its perfect specially around this time of the year, when my skin is flat and dry. This gives my skin a bouncy, fresh look without looking over done.

For Lips : I usually stick with the same neutral lip combo but every now then I do switch it up with different shades. But at the moment I’m obsessed with the Rodial lip liner in pink espresso* layered on top with Kat Von D Bow and arrow and a little bit of Tarte Tarteist lip paint in Rose in the center. And this lip combination has been ahhh so stunning and irresistible. And when ever I want to add a little extra dimension I pop on a bit of Tom Ford Lip gloss in Rose crush in the center of my lip.

Giorgio Armani Prima Setting Spray* : It’s a fancy bottle which makes my makeup stay all day long, making me feeling luxurious every single time I spritz it on my face. And adds in another layer of moisture to my skin.
